Victoria Marks
Victoria has designed greetings cards since she was a little girl - her parents still have the evidence! Creative influences whilst growing up include visiting her grandparents in Devon, with walks on Dartmoor and trips to the sea. Afterwards they would enjoy watercolour painting together.
She later went on to study at Norwich School of Art and Design. The initial plan was to study illustration, but instead graduated with a degree in graphic design. Her first 'proper' job was working for a publishing house in Devon, designing books on subjects varying from railways to chickens and cake making to astronomy!
After a few years, she realised she was missing something in her creative life, which turned out to be pen and paper. An opportunity arose at another local company, where alongside designing catalogues for UK charities, she is able to occasionally illustrate greetings cards, wrapping paper, stationery and ceramics, which she is still enjoying 5 years on.
Pure Illustration provides further opportunity for Victoria to be able to illustrate and license her artwork, which includes a variety of subjects in a style that combines hand-drawn and digital elements.
